Jung said that dreams were a language through which the soul communicates with the body, and the unconscious with the conscious mind, in symbolic form. Dreams can provide guidance from and information about the unconscious mind. They can also help to bring to the surface material that is healing and point to neglected or little known parts of the personality that need to be integrated. They can reflect transformation and working with them can engender it as well. This develops a sense of wholeness and greater sense of self and of meaning in life. An examination of your dreams in psychotherapy can be helpful and rewarding.
‘dreams provide information about the hidden, inner life…’
C. G. Jung.
